Southwestern's Poole, Trinity's Piske Named SCAC Men's Track and Field Athletes of the Week

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Sophomore distance runner Taylor Piske of Trinity University and senior field athlete Daniel Poole of Southwestern University has been named SCAC Track and Field Athletes of the Week after impressive performances this past weekend.

 

 

 

 

 

SCAC TRACK ATHLETE-OF-THE-WEEK
Events through Sunday, March 30th

TAYLOR PISKE OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a sophomore from Richardson, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Track Athlete-of-the-Week for meets through Sunday, March 30th.

Piske led the Tigers at the home event this past weekend, The Tiger Relays.

Piske ran the 10K at the Tiger Relays with a winning time of 31:55.44. Piske recorded the second-all-time mark in the Trinity record books, and also set a stadium record.

Piske's mark also puts him 10th in the nation.

 

SCAC FIELD ATHLETE-OF-THE-WEEK

DANIEL POOLE OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a senior from Shreveport, La., has been selected the SCAC Field Athlete-of-the-Week for meets through Sunday, March 30th.

Poole led the Pirates' men's throwing team this past weekend at The Tiger Relays in San Antonio.

Poole threw the J=javelin 44.75m in the on Friday for his season best mark. Poole is currently leading the SCAC in the javelin by over five meters.
