  • Major Changes for the SCAC Following 2011-12 Academic Year

    SUWANEE, Ga. – In an expected announcement made today at the annual spring meeting of the league’s Board of Directors, the Presidents of Birmingham-Southern College, Centre College, Hendrix College, Millsaps College, Oglethorpe University, Rhodes College and Sewanee-The University of the South declared their intent to withdraw from the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference effective June 30, 2012.
  • Centre's Brad Fansher Awarded Fulbright Scholarship

    DANVILLE, Ky. - Centre College senior defender Brad Fansher (Chicago Ill.) has been awarded a Fulbright scholarship to teach English in Germany. Founded in 1946, the Fulbright Program is a program of competitive, merit-based grants for international educational exchange.
  • Southwestern University to Combine Soccer and Service

    GEORGETOWN, Texas - This spring break, 18 Southwestern University soccer players will be spending their time off traveling to El Salvador, playing soccer and working on service projects needed in the area. The idea was put forth at the alumni soccer game last March and has now come to fruition as a one week trip to El Salvador where students will spend half the week playing soccer and three days doing community outreach work.

    LOUISVILLE, Ky. - David Horne, former Academic All-American and Assistant Coach at Centre College, has been hired by the University of Louisville as the new Director of Operations for Men’s Soccer. Horne joins the staff following the program’s first trip to the NCAA College Cup National Championship.

While the Colonels won the off-field battle, raising $2300 to Austin’s $1900, the Roos came out on top for the first time in history, winning the game 3-1.
