ANNABEL ANDERSON OF THE UNIVERSITY OF DALLASa sophomore outfielder from Midlothian, Texas, has been named the SCAC Softball Hitter of the Week for games played from Monday, March 15 through Sunday, March 21.

Anderson had a good conference weekend, as the Crusaders took two-of-three versus Austin College in conference countable games. It marked the first time since the 2018 season Dallas has earned a conference series win. The outfielder finished the weekend 7-for-12 (.583) with five RBI and three extra base hits, including two home runs. The two HRs matched her total from a shorten 2020 season. She scored a run in all four games over the weekend and finished with six total runs scored. She also carried a .688 on-base percentage and a 1.167 slugging percentage. 

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Freshman catcher Brenna Ruether of St. Thomas batted .571 last week to help lift the Celts to a three-game series sweep of Centenary. Ruether finished the series with eight hits, seven RBI, three doubles, one triple, one home run, one run scored and slugged 1.143. Senior utility player Rebecca Snow of Texas Lutheran hit .714 over two games as the Bulldogs went 1-1 against the NAIA’s University of Houston - Victoria. Snow was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI in the 7-5 loss. She was 3-for-3 with two runs scored, a double, a triple, and an RBI in the 8-0 victory. Her slugging percentage for the two games was 1.286.
