EMILEE STRAUSBURG OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a junior from Denver, Colo., has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Golfer of the Week for competitions through March 7th.
Strausburg finished first in the women's field with a combined score of 153 over the two day event.
Strausburg carded a 79 after Tuesday's round after having shot a 74 the first day. The individual win is the first in the career for Strausburg, who has finished in the top 10 in all four of the events this season.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Piper Gleadhill of Schreiner University tied for 12th place at the Schreiner Spring Shootout to lead the Mountaineers in the event. Emily Campbell of Southwestern University led the Pirates at the Schreiner Spring Shootout, posting a two-round score of 155. Summer Swift of Texas Lutheran University tied for 12th place at the Schreiner Spring Shootout, carding a 165 (82-83).
