Emily Campbell, Southwestern University, Women's Golfer of the Week (Week 4)

EMILY CAMPBELL OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a sophomore from Lewisville, Texas, has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference women's Golfer of the Week for competitions through October 3, 2017.

Campbell earned her first win with the Pirates, posting a 36-hole score of 145 (+1) at the Crusader Collegiate Invitational.

Campbell had a terrific final round, shooting a 71 (-1) to win the event by nine strokes. Campbell was the leader in the clubhouse in Par 4 scoring at +2, Par 5 scoring at -4, and birdies at 8.

As a team, the Pirates took second place in the event, finishing behind the host, Mary Hardin-Baylor.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Alyssa Holbrook of Schreiner University led the Mountaineers to a fourth place finish with a two-round score of 160, tying for sixth place in the competition. Summer Swift of Texas Lutheran University finished in 14th place with a score of 162 at the UMHB tournament. Emilee Strausburg of Trinity University led the Tigers to a third place finish with a score of 160 to tie for sixth place.
