Taylor Moser, Trinity University, Women's Golfer of the Week (Week 5)

TAYLOR MOSER OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a senior from Houston, Texas, has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference women's Golfer of the Week for competitions through October 3, 2017.

Moser won her first collegiate individual championship as she led the Tiger women's golf team to a first-place finish at the Alamo City Classic.
 
Moser shot a two-day 155 (79-76) to claim first place overall, and was the only golfer in the tournament to shoot in the 70s in both rounds. She also led all golfers with a 4.23 average of par-4 holes and totaled the most birdies in the field with five.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Jessica Varner of Centenary College posted another top-10 finish this week, competing as an individual at the ULM Fred Marx Invitational in a field of Division I teams. Marissa Fallis of Schreiner University finished in fourth place at the Alamo City Classic this week, shooting a two round score of 159 (83-76). Leilani McDaniel of Southwestern University posted a second round 74 to improve by nine shots and move into second place at the Alamo City Classic. Kristen Cox of Texas Lutheran University recorded a two round score of 166 (82-84) to lead the Bulldogs in the Alamo City Classic and finish in 11th place.
