EMILY CAMPBELL OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a sophomore from Lewisville, Texas, has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference women's Golfer of the Week for competitions through October 24, 2017.
Campbell picked up her second Golfer of the Week honor after capturing the individual title at the Abilene Intercollegiate hosted by Hardin Simmons University.
Campbell carded a 146 (+4), posting rounds of 73 (+2) on both days. She was second in the field for total birdies with five, while leading the competition in par-4 scoring with a 4.09 average.
Campbell was also second in par-5 scoring, averaging a 4.83.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Jessica Varner of Centenary College took second place at the Abilene Intercollegiate coming in just one shot shy of the top spot with a 147 (+5). Summer Swift of Texas Lutheran University led the Bulldogs at the Abilene Intercollegiate this week, finishing in a tie for 13th place with a two-round score of 160. (77-83).
