EMILEE STRAUSBURG OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY a junior from Denver, Colo., has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference women's Golfer of the Week for competitions through September 12.
Strausburg led the 23rd-ranked Tigers to a runner-up finish at the TLU Lady Bulldog Classic held at Starcke Park Municipal Course. The junior carded a 4-over-par 75 on Tuesday and finished in fourth place with a 10-over 154. She was recognized as a member of the All-Tournament Team for her performance.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC
Junior Alyssa Holbrook of Schreiner University fired rounds of 81 and 79 to finish with a 160 (+16) and pace the Mountaineers at the Lady Bulldog Classic. Sophomore Summer Swift of Texas Lutheran University led the Bulldogs with an overall individual finish of 25th at the Lady Bulldog Classic. She carded an 83 on Monday and an 84 on Tuesday.
