LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- The Trinity University women's basketball team moved up two spots in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) poll this week.
The Tigers are now ranked 12th in both the WBCA and D3hoops.com polls after moving to 20-1 on the season and taking over the top spot in the league standings.
Last week, the Tigers defeated Southwestern University 90-64 before a close game with Texas Lutheran University. Trinity avenged their only loss of the season on Saturday by defeating TLU 74-71.
Trinity is one of five women's basketball teams in the conference that have secured their trips to the 2017 SCAC Basketball Championships.
The Tigers will face Centenary College and Austin College this weekend.
