GEORGETOWN, Texas - Kristen Lye posted a double-double of 12 points and 11 rebounds as Texas Lutheran fought back a determined Austin College squad, 63-59, and advance to Sunday's championship game of the 2017 SCAC women's basketball game. Official Tournament Website
In a game of runs, it was Texas Lutheran who held on when counted most to earn the program its first trip to the title game since 2014 when the Bulldogs won the SCAC championship in its first season in the conference.

- Austin College ended the third quarter on a 9-0 run and held a 45-41 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
- Texas Lutheran then went on a 9-0 of its own to retake the lead at 49-45 with 7:15 remaining in the game.
- Austin College fought back to tie the game at 52 with 4:49 remaining, but TLU outscored the 'Roos 11-7 down the stretch to pull out the win.
- There were three lead changes and the game was tied six times.
- Austin College enjoyed a 32-14 advantage on points in the paint.
- The game was played as a half court affair as neither team scored on a fast break.
