SAN ANTONIO, Texas –
Trinity University Director of Athletics Bob King has announced that Brandi Crnkovic has been hired as the school’s new Head Coach in the sport of softball.

Coach Crnkovic has served as the Tiger softball assistant coach for the past two seasons, helping the team to the Championship game at the SCAC Tournament each year. This past season, Coach Crnkovic helped lead Trinity to the SCAC West Division Championship, and a total of 28 victories – one win away from the school record for one year.

“I have had the opportunity to observe Brandi’s coaching and management skills over the past two years,” said King, “and we felt our best coaching option was already here at Trinity.  have the utmost confidence in Brandi’s abilities, and I expect great things from her and Tiger softball in the future.”

Coach Crnkovic came to Trinity after a successful playing career at Sam Houston State University. She was an All-Southland Conference player who graduated as the school’s all-time leader in strikeouts, and was in the top five in Sam Houston history in saves, innings pitched, and victories. Coach Crnkovic also served as a graduate assistant coach with the Bearkats following her playing career.
