TOWSON, Md. - After receiving ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District VI recognition along with Laura Litton that qualified them both for Academic All-America consideration, Jennifer McKinley was named Second Team Academic All-America on Wednesday, becoming only the fourth Millsaps student-athlete since 1952 to gain ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA All-America honors.

McKinley, a senior from Frisco, Texas, becomes the first Major female student-athlete to earn the award and first to be recognized since John Pacillo was a Second Team selection in 2007.

In the classroom, McKinley maintained a 3.62 Grade Point Average as a biology major and on the field broke six different Millsaps career offensive records while also holding the top spot in doubles and home runs for the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.

Her 13 home runs this season ranked sixth in all of Division III softball and set a single-season record for not only Millsaps, but also the SCAC.
