LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Five of the league's seven Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference men's cross country teams were in action this past week.
Four SCAC squads were at the Our Lady of the Lakes Invitational Windcrest Golf Course in Windcrest, Texas where Trinity University led the pack with a first-place finish among eight participating teams.
The Tigers were led by junior Jacob Hammond who covered the 8K course in a time of 27:01 to finish second among 51 competitors.
Trinity won the OLLU Invitational with a score of 24, outdistancing Texas A&M University-Kingsville, which posted a 53. As for other SCAC competition, Southwestern University was fourth with a score of 121, Austin College scored 155 to finish in fifth and Schreiner University was seventh with a score of 192.
Led by Tony Calderon fpr the second-consecutive meet, Colorado College finished in fourth-place at its own CC Invitational at Monument Valley Park. The freshman posted a team-best 42nd finish overall and was 30th among collegiate runners by covering the 8K course in a time of 27:32.
