Colorado College's Peter Callan Highlights NCAA Cross Country Regional Performances

Four Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference teams competed at the NCAA Men's Cross Country regionals Saturday morning.

MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - The Trinity University men came in eighth, followed by Southwestern Unviersity and Texas Lutheran University in 21st and 22nd, respectively, at the NCAA Division III South/Southeast Cross Country Regional on Saturday. Results

Trinity's Austin Brown was the top SCAC finisher, coming in 23rd place. He was followed by teammates Brian Wongchotigul and Michael Erickson in 35th and 37th place. Brown and Wongchotigul both earned All-Region honors for their finishes.

Southwestern was led by Josh Im in 72nd place, who finished just ahead of Ulises Castaneda in 78th. Cameron Reagan led Texas Lutheran in 90th place.


BUSH PARK SALEM, Ore. - The Colorado College men's cross country team finished in sixth place Saturday at the NCAA Division III West Regional Championships in Claremont, Calif., and freshman Peter Callan advanced to next week's NCAA Division III National Championships in Louisville, Ky., with a 10th-place individual finish. Callan, who won the SCAC Championship Meet two weeks ago, finished the 8K race with a time of 27:21.18.

Freshman Jack Williams was CC's second-best runner Saturday, finishing 43rd in a time of 27:44.1, followed by senior Conor Terhune in 45th place at 27:46.2. Also scoring for the Tigers were freshman Tony Calderon (57th), sophomore David Eik (68th). Freshman Max Blackburn (85th) and junior Ethan Holland (103rd) rounded out CC's contingent.

Colorado College was the only SCAC school that competed in the West Regional.
