Colorado College; Trinity Men Earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released their Division III All-Academic Teams Friday and two Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference men's cross country teams were honored.

To earn the honor, a team must hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.1 or higher. There were 151 men's teams in total that reached this mark.

The Colorado College men, led by Head Coach Ted Casteneda, posted a team GPA of 3.314. Last season, they also earned the honors with a GPA of 3.36.

Trinity University's men's program, led by Head Coach Emily Daum, also earned the honor, holding a 3.18 GPA.

Trinity also had two student-athletes earned the individual academic award.

Taylor Piske, a senior engineering major from Richardson, Texas and  Oliver Langselius, a freshman neuroscience and engineering major from Stockholm, Sweden were both recognized.

In total, 268 men nabbed All-Academic honors. To earn this distinction, the student-athletes must hold a GPA of 3.30 or higher and finish in the top 25 percent at their respective regional.
