Keaton Bohrmann, Texas Lutheran University, Baseball - Offensive Player of the Week (Week 8)

KEATON BOHRMANN OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a junior third baseman from San Antonio, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Baseball Offensive Player-of-the-Week for games played through Sunday, March 29th.

Bohrmann was a key part of the Bulldogs offense, leading Texas Lutheran to a sweep over the University of Dallas this past weekend. 

For the week, Bohrmann went 7-for-14 at the plate, finishing with three doubles, a home run, four RBIs, and two runs scored. He had a slugging percentage of .929 and had at least two hits in every game of the series.

He crushed his first homerun of the season in the first game while driving in two runs and had a monster game to clinch the sweep, going 3-for-5 with two doubles, a RBI, and a run scored.

For the season, Bohrmann is hitting .346 with five doubles, one triple, one homer, and nine RBIs with 10 runs scored. 

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore outfielder James Arguello of Austin College had an outstanding weekend at the plate, hitting .462 with an on base percentage of .500 and a .615 slugging percentage, hitting two doubles and driving in three runs in three games. Freshman catcher Chris Zapata of Centenary  led the Gents with a .438 batting average over the week with a team best seven hit including a double and three RBIs. Freshman outfielder Clayton Sparks of Southwestern posted a .563 batting average this week as the Pirates went 2-2 including two wins over nationally-ranked Trinity. Sparks went 9-16 from the plate with three doubles, four RBIs and three runs scored. Junior outfielder Jeremy Wolf of Trinity hit 8-15 (.533) with six runs and six RBI over the past week, as Trinity went 2-2 overall. He also had three doubles and two home runs, as well as drawing four walks in the four games. Dallas and Schreiner did not nominate anyone.
