COLIN SERKOWSKI OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a junior infielder from Richland, Wash., has been selected the SCAC Baseball Offensive Player-of-the-Week for games played through Sunday, February 22nd.

Serkowski led Trinity to a three-game sweep against the University of Dallas over the weekend, winning 6-5 and 7-3 in Saturday's doubleheader, then finishing with a lopsided 12-0 shutout on Sunday.

Serkowski was on fire in the three games, as the Tigers snapped a two-game losing streak, and got back on track at home. He finished 5-for-7 with six runs scored in the series, hitting .714 overall, and drawing four walks to post an outstanding .833 on-base percentage. Serkowski also stole three bases in four attempts for Trinity.

The weekend started with Serkowski going 2-for-4 in Saturday's doubleheader, drawing three walks and scoring twice in the second game of the twinbill. In Sunday's series finale, Serkowski went 3-for-3 with three runs scored and a double to push the Tigers to a 12-0 victory.

For the season, Serkowski leads Trinity with a .500 batting average, picking up 14 hits in 28 at-bats. He also leads the Tigers with 13 runs scored in nine games, as well as drawing nine walks for a .641 on-base percentage to also lead all Trinity players.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior Todd Takabuki of Austin College continued his torrid start to the season, going 2-for-2 with a double in the team's lone game of the week. Freshman Ethan Hallmark of Southwestern went 5-12 on the weekend with three runs scored and three RBI's. Was 3-5 against Wheaton. Four stolen bases and a .417 batting average and on base percentage. Junior first baseman Justin Law of Texas Lutheran led the team by a large margin with eight hits over four games last week. Batted .571 (8-for-14) with three extra-base hits. Centenary did not play. Dallas and Schreiner did not nominate anyone.
