NICK PAPPAS OF
TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a senior outfielder from Los
Angeles, Calif., has been named the SCAC Offensive Baseball
Player-of-the-Week for games played Monday, April 16 through
Sunday, April 22.
Pappas led the Trinity Tigers to a 3-2 record
last week, sweeping a doubleheader from Schreiner, and finishing
the regular season with a 10-0 shutout of Austin College.
Pappas hit .778 (14-18) for the week, picking up three doubles and a triple among his 14 hits. He also scored seven runs and collected a team-best nine RBI. He also drew six walks for an on-base percentage of .833 for the week.
Against Schreiner, Pappas was just one hit shy of hitting for the cycle in one game, and had eight hits to become the ninth player in Trinity history to reach 200 in a career. He is also the 35th player in SCAC history to reach the milestone.
