BRUCE MAXWELL
OF BIRMINGHAM-SOUTHERN COLLEGE, a junior
catcher/first baseman from Toney, Ala., has been named the SCAC
Offensive Baseball Player-of-the-Week for games played Monday,
March 5 through Sunday, March 11.
Maxwell helped BSC win all four of its games this
week, all on the road. Against Millsaps he was 3-of-4 (including
two doubles and a home run) with three RBI. In the series against
Sewanee, Maxwell was 3-of-6 (including two
doubles).
He hit .600 (6-of-10) for the week with a total of seven runs,
three RBI, 13 total bases, and eight walks.
Maxwell posted a 1.300 slugging percentage and
.778 on-base percentage.
