JORDAINE BISHOP OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a sophomore pitcher from Leander, Texas, has been named the SCAC Softball Pitcher of the Week for games played through Sunday, April 22.
Bishop pitched seven total innings and allowed just one run. She struck out three and walked only one. She allowed only one hit in the seven innings.
In picking up the win in the only game Saturday, Bishop pitched five scoreless innings in relief and allowed just one base-runner (on a walk). She improved to 9-0 overall and lowered her ERA to 2.28.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore pitcher Bailey Meyer of Southwestern University went 9.1 innings on the mound last week, striking out 10 and giving up just three earned runs.
