ALLIE HOLBROOK OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a first-year right-handed pitcher from San Juan Capistrano, Calif., has been named the SCAC Softball Pitcher of the Week for games played from Monday, March 26 through Sunday, April 1.

Holbrook led Trinity to a 3-1 record in its SCAC road weekend series at the University of Dallas, earning complete-game victories in each of her appearances. She finished the week without allowing an earned run in 14.0 innings, striking out nine batters and giving up just two walks. She began the series with a five-hit complete game in which Trinity edged Dallas 2-1. On Saturday, Holbrook sealed the series victory with the team's first shutout of the season, tossing a four-hit shutout in which she recorded five strikeouts and no walks.

For the season, Holbrook is 7-6 (tied for third in wins) with a 3.34 ERA (eighth in the SCAC) in 16 appearances. She has seven complete games among her 15 starts, recording 45 strikeouts (third in the SCAC) in 88.0 innings pitched (second in the SCAC).

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior pitcher Maitlin Raycroft of Texas Lutheran won a pair of conference road games against Schreiner and improved to 14-0 on the year. Raycroft went the full seven innings in a 2-1 win over the Mountaineers on Thursday. She struck out six and walked just one. In the 9-1 run-rule win on Friday, she again struck out six and allowed just the one run. She finished the week with an ERA of 1.17 and 12 strikeouts to three walks. Sophomore pitcher Lauren Galvan of Dallas made two starts this past weekend for the Crusaders and allowed a combined five runs (three earned). She threw a complete game in the team's 7-3 victory over Trinity.
