TAYLOR GRISSOM OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a sophomore right handed pitcher Houston, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Softball Pitcher-of-the-Week for games played through Tuesday, March 24th.

Grissom continued her 2015 dominance with 14 scoreless innings and three victories last week as Texas Lutheran swept through Concordia and Schreiner to improve their winning streak to 13 games.

Grissom allowed just five hits in those 14.0 innings of work. She combined with TLU relievers in shutout wins over Concordia and Schreiner and then made her first relief appearance in the series finale against Schreiner. In that final appearance, she worked four shutout innings and claimed the victory.

Grissom improved to 8-0 overall and lowered her season ERA to 0.17, which leads the conference. She has a current scoreless innings streak of 26 innings and a current streak of no earned runs allowed in 33 innings.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore pitcher Katie Lee of Dallas continued her dominant stretch for Dallas, helping the team go 3-1 for its second-straight conference series win of the season. The Houston, Texas, native factored into every decision, and broke the single-season win mark in program history on Monday, with her 12th. Sophomore pitcher Cozette Palmer of Southwestern went 3-0 on the weekend and threw two complete games, allowing 10 hits in 13.2 innings of work with just three runs scored while striking out five and walking eight. Junior pitcher Katie Castillon of Trinity did not allow a run in three games pitched last week, highlighted by her six-hit shutout win over NAIA Our Lady of the Lake University on Tuesday evening. Castillon was 1-0 on the week, earning the complete-game shutout in game on of the doubleheader against OLLU. Austin College, Centenary, and Schreiner did not nominate anyone.
