TAYLOR GRISSOM OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a junior right handed pitcher Spring, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Softball Pitcher-of-the-Week for games played through Sunday, March 8th.

Grissom was fantastic in the circle, leading Texas Lutheran to a 3-1 week over Calumet College of St. Joseph. 

The reigning SCAC Pitcher of the Year won both of her starts in dominant fashion last week. Grissom allowed just one earned run in 12.1 innings pitched and finished the week with an ERA of 0.57. 

In the Bulldogs' 3-1 win over Calumet on March 2, Grissom walked one, struck out one and scattered six hits. In the 6-2 win over Calumet on March 7th, Grissom did not allow an earned run, struck out one, walked one and relinquished just five hits. 

For the season, Grissom is 3-0 on the season, which is first in the conference, and holds an ERA of 0.40, second in the SCAC. She is also second in the conference in opponents batting average at .188. 

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore pitcher Cozette Palmer of Southwestern posted two wins this week, allowing 10 earned runs in 18.1 innings while striking out 11. Palmer also threw a complete game in an 8-3 win over Baldwin Wallace on Sunday. Sophomore pitcher/first baseman Katie Glomb of Trinity pitched Trinity to its only victory of the week, splitting Saturday's SCAC doubleheader against the University of Dallas. Glomb allowed one earned run on seven hits in the complete-game victory, striking out five batters. She also went 2-3 with a run scored at the plate, as the Tigers scored a 5-2 victory. Centenary, Dallas, and Schreiner did not nominate anyone. Austin College did not play.
