KATIE LEE OF UNIVERSITY OF DALLAS, a sophomore right handed pitcher Houston, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Softball Pitcher-of-the-Week for games played through Sunday, March 15th.

Lee pitched in every inning of a busy stretch this past week for Dallas, as the team played four in the South Carolina Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic followed by closing the weekend out with a four-game series against fellow SCAC foe, Centenary College of Louisiana.

Lee reflected a 7-1 record, earning decisions in each contest during the Navy and White's impressive string of victories. She was instrumental in many of them, helping the Crusaders go 3-1 in one-run decisions during the span. She amassed 53.0 innings pitched, including 27.0 in conference, while allowing 11 runs total with only six of them coming earned.

Lee blanked the opposition in a pair in three games, all in a row, and allowed two runs or less in all but one affair. That was a four-run outing that Dallas walked-off on versus La Roche College Tuesday. Notching the game-winning RBI was no other than the Lady Crusader's righty hurler, with a walk. Lee logged 32 punch outs overall, including a season-high seven against Cazenovia. 

For the season, Lee is now 10-4 on the season and leads the conference in numerous categories including wins, complete games (14), shutouts (4), strikeouts (61), and innings pitched (104.0). She is second in the SCAC in ERA (1.48), appearances (17), and games started (14). 

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore pitcher Alyssa Novander of Southwestern made four appearances and posted three wins. In 17.1 innings she allowed just two earned runs while scattering 14 hits while walking six and striking out 12. Junior pitcher Taylor Grissom of Texas Lutheran posted two more wins in her 2015 campaign and lowered her season ERA to 0.27 with two dominant performances last week against Austin College. In the first game of the series, Grissom struck out seven and allowed just one hit in a complete-game performance (six innings of work due to the run-rule). In the third game of the series, Grissom started and registered the win with three innings of no-hit softball. For the week, she allowed just one hit in nine innings and did not allow a run (earned or unearned). She improved to 5-0 in 2015. Austin College, Centenary, Schreiner, and Trinity did not nominate.
