Katie Glomb, Trinity University, Softball - Pitcher of the Week (Week 1)

KATIE GLOMB OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a sophomore right handed pitcher/first baseman from Waco, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Softball Pitcher-of-the-Week for games played through Sunday, February 8th.

Glomb salvaged a split in the opening doubleheader of the season for the Trinity softball team against Hardin-Simmons, earning the complete-game victory in game two.

Glomb gave up just four hits in her seven innings of work, and allowed just two unearned runs in the top of the seventh - just missing a shot at her first career shutout. She struck out three batters in the game, earning her first career victory.

Last season, Glomb held a 7.45 ERA in seven appearances, pitching just 10.1 innings, and striking out five batters. She did not record a decision in her first season with the Tigers, allowing 13 total runs.
