Four SCAC Softball Student-Athletes Named To Capital One Academic All-District® Teams

SUWANEE, Ga. - DePauw University junior outfielder Rachel MacBeth highlighted the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference's four selections to the 2011 Capital One Academic All-District® teams, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

MacBeth was the conference's lone first-team honoree. The junior native of Indianapolis, Ind. carries a 3.93 Grade Point Average (GPA) as a biochemistry major as she was named to the District V first-team. As a first-team selection, MacBeth will now advance to the Capital One Academic All-America® Team ballot, where first, second and third-team All-America honorees will be selected later this month.

MacBeth's teammate, senior Emma Minx, earned District V third-team laurels where she carries a 3.45 GPA as a kinesiology and Spanish major. Minx is an infielder and native of Northbrook, Ill.

Rhodes College senior infielder Allison Conn was slected to the District IV College Division second team. A Houston, Texas native, Conn maintains a 3.60 GPA as a biology major.

Rouding out the league's selections was Trinity University senior designated player Teresa Greppi. Greppi earned District VI second-team honors after maintaining a 3.79 GPA as an English major.
