KYLE PORTER OF
TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a junior defender from
Albuquerque, N.M., has been selected as the SCAC Men's Soccer
Defensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday,
October 24 through Sunday, October 30.
Porter led the Tigers to a pair of wins to finish off the
regular season, defeating both Austin College and University of
Dallas over the weekend. Porter and the defense
limited Austin College to just three shots on goal (seven shots
total) in a shutout win on Friday night. On Sunday,
Porter scored both of Trinity’s goals to
lead the team to a 2-1 win over Dallas. His game-winning goal came
in the 65th minute of play. For the season, Porter
has scored three goals and two assists, and Sunday was his first
game-winning goal this season.
