C.H. FARMER OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a senior defender from Dallas, Texas, has been selected as the SCAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Thursday, September 1 through Sunday, September 4.

Farmer led a Tiger defense that did not allow a goal in three games last week, helping the team to three victories to open the 2011 season. In addition to holding opponents to just 14 shot attempts in 270 minutes of action, Farmer also got in on the scoring in the opening game, pushing across a second-half goal in a 5-0 win over Schreiner.

Last season, Trinity didn’t record its third shutout until the ninth game of the season, allowing four goals in its first three games.
