Austin College Headlines Five Programs Earning SCAC Team Sportsmanship Awards

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Five Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference programs were recognized by the league as the Fall 2017 Sportmanship Teams in their respective sports.

The SCAC Student-Athlete Advisory Committee instituted the award prior to the 2016-17 academic year in an effort to honor the team that best portrays good sportsmanship and fair play from the players and coaches during the season. For the second year in a row, Schreiner University captured the top honor in men's soccer and Austin College took men's and women's cross country. The 'Roos also earned the award in women's soccer and Centenary College closed it out, earning the volleyball recognition.
