Located in the county seat of suburban Williamson County, and located under an hour from Austin, Georgetown has a population of 47,400 and lays claim to possessing the "Most Beautiful Town Square in Texas." Celebrating its 175th anniversary this year, Georgetown is known for its lovely main street, cool restaurants and bars and fun local shopping.
In 2007, the Marvin D. Henderson, Sr. (’41) Tennis Courts became a reality and once completed, offered Pirate student-athletes one of the top facilities in NCAA Division III. With eight courts Southwestern houses one of the top surfaces in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference, and as such, the Pirates are hosting the SCAC Men’s and Women’s Tennis Championships for the first time since 2015.
