Men's Tennis Inaugural Season Comes to A Close at SCAC Championship

GEORGETOWN, Texas - The University of Dallas men's tennis team lost their quarterfinal match against Southwestern University 5-0 at the Southern Collegiate Atheltic Conference Champiosnhip on Friday.

The Crusaders went up against the number one seed and 18th ranked Pirates in the first round of the tournament.  Southwestern took all three doubles points: Thomas O'Donnell and Andrew Le were defeated 8-1, Shu-Lun Change and John Paul Collins were defeated 8-2, and Gabe Saldivar and Victor Salvo were defeated 8-0.  

Chang, Collins, and O'Donnell managed to wrestle a couple of games from their opponents in singles play, but all three were defeated 6-2 in their first set, with Le going down 6-0 in set one of his singles match.  Set two went unfinished for the quartet of Crusaders, as Saldivar (6-0, 6-1) and Salvo (6-0, 6-0) were defeated at lines five and six.

This marks the end of the inaugural season for UD Tennis, after having laid dormant since 2005.
