MARY CARDONE/ANNA SCHNEEMANN OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, have been named the SCAC Women's Tennis Doubles Team of the Week for matches played from through Sunday, April 1st. Cardone is a sophomore from San Antonio, Texas and Schneemann is a junior from San Angelo, Texas.
Cardone and Schneemann went 1-0 at No. 1 doubles last week, defeating the top team from Texas Lutheran University, 8-0.
The pair moved to 8-3 this season and extended their winning streak to three matches.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior Marie Lutz and sophomore Zoe Kaffen of Trinity University went 1-0 this past week at line three singles against #37 ranked UT-Tyler to improve their record to 4-0 and remain undefeated as a doubles duo.
