DIANA CARVAJALINO AND ANNA SERGIOVANNI OF AUSTIN COLLEGE have been named the SCAC Women's Tennis Doubles Team of the Week for matches played through Sunday, February 18th. Carvajalino is a sophomore from Hurst, Texas and Sergiovanni is a sophomore from Richardson, Texas.

For the second week in a row, Carvajalino and Sergiovanni have earned Doubles Team of the Week honors. The duo won their only match last week to lead Austin College to a 9-0 win over Whitworth University. In the final regional rankings of 2017, Whitworth was ranked #18 in the west region.

The duo defeated the line one pair from Whitworth 8-4.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore Mary Cardone and junior Anna Schneemann of Southwestern University won their No. 2 doubles match against UT-Permian Basin 8-3 to lead SU to a win. Senior Megan Ingram and Freshman Mary Eby of Texas Lutheran University posted an 8-4 win at No. 2 doubles in the Bulldogs' match against Concordia University (TX). Juniors Caroline Kutach and Andrea De Leon of Trinity University picked up the Tigers' only doubles win against St. Edwards last week, winning 8-6 at line three.
