SOPHIE McDONALD OF AUSTIN COLLEGE, a senior from Longview, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women's Tennis Player-of-the-Week for all matches through Sunday, April 13th.
McDonald led the 'Roos to a 3-0 week at home as they defeated Ozarks, Southwest (N.M.), and LeTourneau to close the regular season on a strong note.
McDonald was dominant, going 6-0 at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles in her final three home matches.
McDonald began the week with a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles and 8-0 win at No. 1 doubles over Ozarks. She followed that up with a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles and an 8-1 No. 1 doubles win over Southwest followed that up with a bang by winning 6-3, 5-7, 10-6 at No. 1 singles and an 8-6 win at No. 1 doubles over LeTourneau to send her Senior Day out on a positive note.
