LEANNA HAYNES OF SCHREINER UNIVERSITY, a sophomore from Odessa, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women's Tennis Player-of-the-Week for all matches through Sunday, March 2nd.
Haynes went 4-0 on the weekend in matches against Sul Ross and University of the Southwest to lead the Mountaineers to a 2-0 week.
Haynes won No. 1 doubles with her partner Camila Anguiano 8-0, and followed that up with a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 1 singles against Sul Ross.
Her and Anguiano were dominant against at No. 1 doubles against the University of the Southweste, winning 8-2. She followed that up with a 6-2, 6-1 victory at No. 1 singles.
Haynes is now 6-1 this season at No. 1 singles and 7-1 at No. 1 doubles with Anguiano.
