KIRBY PEDDICORD OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a senior midfielder from Houston, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday, September 15th through Sunday, September 21st.
Peddicord led the thid-ranked Tiger women’s soccer team to a pair of road shutouts to open SCAC play this season, defeating Austin College and the University of Dallas.
Peddicord and the Trinity defense held the opposition to just four total shots over the two games, including zero shots against Austin College to kick off conference play for the Tigers. Only one of the four shots allowed against Dallas was a shot on goal.
Trinity has now recorded three shutouts on the season, and Peddicord has started all seven games on the back line for the Tigers this year. Trinity has also allowed just four goals in seven games.

Freshman defender
Ana Gutierrez of Southwestern helped keep the
Pirates in two tough OT matches and scored game winner directly
form corner kick in OT to defeat Austin College. Sophomore goalkeeper Erin Rose
of Texas Lutheran tallied her second shutout of
the season in a 1-0 win over Centenary and made three saves in that
game against the Ladies. Austin
College, Centenary, Dallas,
and Schreiner did not
nomiante anyone.
