TARA ARMSTRONG OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a sophomore defender from Lincoln, Calif., has been selected the SCAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday, September 8th through Sunday, September 14th.
Armstrong enjoyed a career weekend against Schreiner and Huston-Tillotson.
Armstrong led the Bulldog defense to a shutout over the Moutaineers and their first conference win of the season, holding Schreiner to no shots on the afternoon.
Armstrong tallied her first career assist in a 2-0 win over Schreiner, setting up a game-winning goal and follow that up by scoring the first goal of her TLU career in a 4-4 draw with Huston-Tillotson.

Centenary held
Hendrix's leading scorer Samantha Lallas without a goal in the 2-1

numerous diving saves to keep the Pirates in the
contest. Senior goalkeeper Lauren Goldberg of
Trinity allowed one goal in more
than 130 minutes in net for the Tigers, recording a pair of saves,
and earning the victory in both
