HANNA NINER OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a junior from Keller, Texas, was named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference women's Golfer of the Week for competitions through Wednesday, April 6th.
Niner shot a final-round 4-over-par 76, and improved her opening score by eight strokes. She finished in eighth place with a 160.
The tea as a whole shot a final-round 331 to finish in fourth place at the highly competitive DIII National Spring Preview. Five of the six Tiger golfers finished in the top 30 individually.
The Tigers will prepare for the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships, to be held April 18-19 at Vaaler Creek Golf Club, in Blanco, Texas. Trinity finished as runner-up at last year’s event. Qualifiers will advance to the NCAA Division III Women’s Golf Championships, to be held May 10-13 at Bay Oaks Country Club.
