KAYCEE BANKERT OF SCHREINER UNIVERSITY was named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference women's Golfer of the Week for competitions through Tuesday, October 13, 2015.
Bankert took third in the Golfweek Fall Invitational in Destin, Fla. this week. She helped the Mountaineers to a ninth place finish, taking third in the individual competition.
Bankert posted a 54-hole score of 225 (+4). Her lowest mark came in the second round, posting a 74 (+2) on the day.
This was the best collegiate performance by a Schreiner women's golfer and helped the Mountaineers finish four places better than they did at this tournament last year.
The Mountaineers will close out their fall season at the Abilene Intercollegiate in two weeks.
