KATIE KULAVIC
OF OGLETHORPE UNIVERSITY a senior guard from
Norcross, Ga., has been named SCAC Basketball Player-of-the-Week
for games played Monday, January 26th through Sunday, February
1st.
Kulavic averaged 18.5 points on 46.6% shooting, 4
rebounds, 6 assists and 2.5 steals per contest over the weekend to
help lead the Petrels in wins against Colorado and Austin
College.
In Oglethorpe’s 73-67 win over Austin College on Sunday
Kulavic with the Petrels down four points half way
through the second half tallied of a steal, an assist and eight
points in a minute and ten second span to give the Petrels a seven
point lead.
Kulavic who scored 37 points on the weekend now
has a career total of 1,760 and is just 85 points from setting the
All-Time SCAC career scoring mark. After two SCAC wins over the
weekend Kulavic and the Petrels are one of three
teams that have already punched a ticket to Conway, Ark. and a
birth in the SCAC Tournament.
