MELANIE AUGUSTE OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a senior guard from Cameron Park, Calif., has been named SCAC Basketball Player-of-the-Week for games played Monday, January 12th through Sunday, January 18th.

Auguste averaged 23.5 points, 11 rebounds and 6.5 assists per game to help Colorado College earn a split of its road games at Centre College and DePauw University. With 26 points during the 70-67 victory at Centre, she moved into sixth place on CC’s career scoring chart, passing Paige Whitney who graduated last year with 1,320. Auguste also had eight assists to reach 100 for the fourth consecutive season and she completed her double-double with 10 rebounds.

In Sunday’s loss at DePauw, Auguste recorded her seventh double-double of the season with 21 points and 12 rebounds. She moved up to No. 4 with 734 career rebounds. It marked the seventh time she has scored more than 20 points this season.
