ANNIE
BOURNE OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a senior
forward from Dallas, Texas, has been selected the SCAC
Women’s Basketball Player-of-the-Week for games played
through Sunday, December 14th.
Bourne led Southwestern to their second win
of the season, defeating Hardin-Simmons on the road, 75-68.
Bourne was outstanding, notching her third double-double of the season with 13 points on 6-of-6 shooting and 12 rebounds. She also added two assists and a block to pace the Pirates.
For the season, Bourne has posted double digit rebounding numbers in six of the eight games played this year. She currently leads the conference with 11.8 rebounds/game and is fifth in the conference with 0.9 blocks/game.
