CHRIS LESNANSKY OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a senior forward from Denver, Colo., has been selected the SCAC Men’s Basketball Player-of-the-Week for games played through Sunday, November 16th.

Lesnansky was named MVP of the 2014 Colorado College Tip-Off Invitational after he averaged 20.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game while leading the Tigers to victories over Blackburn College and George Fox University.

Lesnansky began the tournament with 18 points and five rebounds in Saturday’s 81-64 triumph over Blackburn. In Sunday’s 98-90 victory over George Fox, the senior forward recorded 23 points, seven rebounds and five assists.

With 14 rebounds during the two games, Lesnansky became the 15 player in program history to record 500 or more in his career. He also climbed into 13 place with 1,142 points and 28th with 107 assists.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore forward Kendall Demouchet of Centenary averaged 20.5 points over the weekend and scored a career-high 31 points against Lewis and Clark including 10 rebounds and four blocks. Senior forward Aaron Wyatt of Dallas averaged 15 points over the weekend, scoring 15 points in both wins over UC-Santa Cruz and the Redlands while also pulling down 12 rebounds in the win over the Redlands. Senior guard Stevan Guerrero of Schreiner helped lead Schreiner to a 2-0 mark with 10.5 points/gm, 6.5 rebbounds/gm, and 6.0 assists/gm in the Mountaineers opening week. Sophomore guard Jordan Kouremetis of Texas Lutheran led TLU with 20 points and added four rebounds in a road loss to No. 22 University of Texas at Dallas. Kouremetis hit two three-pointers and made 10 of 11 at the free throw line. Senior guard Matt Selling of Trinity led Trinity in scoring during its season-opening loss at Hardin-Simmons on Saturday, picking up 14 points on 5-8 shooting from the field and 3-5 three-pointers. Austin College and Southwestern did not play.
