KAYMEE GOODEN OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a senior outfielder from Mart, Texas, has been named the SCAC Softball Offensive Player of the Week for games played through Sunday, April 9th.
Gooden hit .700 for the week as Texas Lutheran pushed its win streak to 30 games, sweeping the University of Dallas.
Gooden drove in 10 runs with a pair of homers, two doubles and a triple in her seven hits in 10 at-bats.
Gooden hit both home runs in the 12-1 victory over Austin College on Saturday. She posted an on-base percentage of .714 and a slugging percentage of 1.700.
She also stole four bases and had an RBI in each of TLU's four wins over Dallas.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Freshman outfielder Kaitlynn Copher of Southwestern University went 5-13 (.385) for the week, recording three RBI and scoring two runs. Senior second baseman Hilary Hoffman of Trinity University hit .643 while recording five RBIs and scoring a pair of runs in the Tigers' series win over Austin College.
