KYLA LOCKLEY OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a junior third baseman from Wharton, Texas, has been named the SCAC Softball Offensive Player of the Week for games played through Sunday, March 19th.

Lockley had eight hits in 12 at-bats (.750) during a four-game sweep of Indiana Tech and scored six runs with six stolen bases.

Lockley stole five bases in the Friday doubleheader sweep.

In the four games, she walked three times and played error-less defense at third base and catcher. In 18 total defensive chances, she had seven assists.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior outfielder/short stop Anna Dunn of Centenary College had a hit in every game this weekend as Centenary took 3-of-4 from Austin College. Her big base knock came when tied 4-4 in the bottom of the sixth of game three, she hit a three-run home run to left field as Centenary went on to win 7-4. Freshman outfielder Jade Miller of the University of Dallas continued her strong season by going 7-for-13 and picking up a hit in each contest during the Florida spring break trip. The team leader in hits stormed out of the game with a .750 (3-4) performance that included a double, triple, and three RBI during a shutout win over FDU-Florham. Freshman utility player Sydney Scott of Southwestern University led the Pirates at the plate, helping SU to four wins in Florida to extend their win streak to eight. She tallied nine hits with two doubles and one triple in 16 at bats. Junior short stop Rebecca Berreth of Trinity University led the Tigers to a 6-2 record last week, beginning with a doubleheader sweep at home on Tuesday, and a 4-2 week at the Tucson Invitational Games. Berreth paced the Tigers with a .409 batting average, collecting nine hits in 22 at-bats. She also had seven runs scored and five RBI over the eight games, and drew three walks to boost her on-base percentage to .462.
