KATIE LEE OF THE UNIVERSITY OF DALLAS, a junior pitcher from Houston, Texas, has been named the SCAC Softball Pitcher of the Week for games played Monday, March 28th through Sunday April 3rd.

Lee sits atop of the SCAC with 12 wins, after picking up a pair this weekend at Austin College. She earned the victory in game one of an eventual sweep for the Crusaders. Lee went eight innings and allowed a run on six hits.

In her other outing, she threw five innings in a game that was run-ruled. A home run given up in the second inning was Lee's only major blemish as she scattered three hits. She combined for six strikeouts. Lee is now ranked in the top five of the conference for earned-run-average (2.45) and strikeouts (47).

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior pitcher Amanda Lochte of Texas Lutheran picked up two wins in three starts last week. Senior pitcher Katie Castillon of Trinity earned a complete-game victory in game two of Tuesday's doubleheader against NAIA Our Lady of the Lake University, pitching the Tigers to a split.
