NICHOLE ALDRIDGE OF CENTENARY COLLEGE, a freshman pitcher from Tatum, Texas, has been named the SCAC Softball Pitcher of the Week for games played Monday, February 8th through Sunday February 14th.
Aldridge started the season on a high note, winning all three games she started and picking up her only loss in relief on an international tie-breaking rule against Millsaps. Her 14 strikeouts leads the conference in the early season.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Freshman pitcher Chandler Smith of Southwestern posted a 2.21 ERA and struck out three against Hardin-Simmons. Freshman pitcher Paige Parks of the University of Dallas made her collegiate debut with a complete-game win versus Hendrix College.
