ADAM PETERSON OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a senior from Baytown, Texas, is named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week for tournaments played through Tuesday, March 24, 2015.
Peterson posted his second consecutive first-place-finish this weekend, competing at the University of Texas-Dallas Spring Classic. The competition featured three nationally-ranked teams, including the No. 18 Bulldogs.
Peterson led the Bulldogs to a second-place finish behind only the defending NCAA Division III National Champion, Schreiner University.
Through the first two rounds, Peterson carded a tournament-low score of 69 to take a commanding eight-shot lead heading into the second day. He posted a final round of 77 to finish with a total score of 215 (-1).
Peterson and the Bulldogs will have one more competition before the SCAC Championship as they compete at the West Region Invitational in Georgetown, Texas.
