LUCIANO VILLANUEVA OF THE UNIVERSITY OF DALLAS, a senior pitcher from San Antonio, Texas, has been named the SCAC Baseball Co-Pitcher of the Week for games played Monday, April 11th through Sunday, April 17th.
Villanueva pitched his second complete game of the season and the Crusaders' first shutout since January 31, 2015. The right-hander limited Southwestern University to a pair of hits, and walked one in a 2-0 victory. He fanned a career-high nine batters.
