SCAC Women's Golf Spring Recap - Week Seven

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Four Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference women's golf teams competed this week at the West Region Invitational in Georgetown, Texas.

Schreiner University's Kaycee Bankert led the competition at the West Region Invitational, earning the individual title with a two round score of 153 (+9). The Mountaineers earned a second place finish in the field of nine teams, posting a score of 660 (+84).

Southwestern University earned fourth place in the event, with Katherine Dyo leading the team in 14th place. The Pirates posted a team score of 677, while Dyo recorded a score of 168.

Trinity University followed in sixth place, with Emilee Strausburg as the SCAC's second-highest finisher in eighth place with a 164 (+20). The Tigers posted a 36-hole mark of 683 to finish just one shot out of fifth.

Texas Lutheran University rounded out the SCAC competitors, finishing in eighth place with a mark of 749. Tarah Cochran was the Bulldogs' top finisher in 36th place with a score of 181.
